Guides › Open question
Open question
With an open question, participants answer in their own words — optionally with just a number, with a sketch or with a file such as a photo of a calculation. The answers come in in the cockpit; only what you select goes on the wall.
Free text
Participants answer in their own words. Open questions are not scored automatically; their value lies in what you do with the answers — for example putting a good answer on the wall and discussing it.

Step 3 of 16Choose the question type Open question. Maximum answer length limits the answer in characters (1 to 10,000, default 500) — this is also a teaching decision: 80 characters force a single sentence, 500 allow a justification. Below are the switches for the other variants.

Accepted answers
Under Accepted answers you enter answers that should count as correct. LehrPuls still does not score on its own: a matching answer carries the badge Variant and a check mark in the cockpit — one click grades it with 100 %. Upper and lower case and punctuation at the edges do not matter.
