LehrPuls
Live polling in the lecture hall — local, no cloud

You explain.
But does it land?

LehrPuls puts your question to the whole room — and shows you within twenty seconds who is keeping up. Participants answer on their smartphones, the result appears on the projector, and you decide whether to move on or take another run at it. Everything runs on your own laptop: no account, no cloud, no subscription.

Your laptop is the server

The devices connect straight to your computer via QR code. No outside service is contacted — LehrPuls also works without internet access.

No accounts, no data leaving the room

Neither you nor the participants create an account. Answers stay in the room and in your local database. That settles the GDPR conversation.

A question bank and a semester archive

Your questions stay. Every session is analyzed, and across the years you can see whether the same question fares better next semester.

How a question plays out

STEP 1

Prepare

Drag questions from your own pool into a playlist. Created once, reusable every semester.

STEP 2

Let them join

QR code on the projector, point the camera at it. No download, no sign-up — joined in under 30 seconds.

STEP 3

Ask and reveal

Space bar opens, space bar closes, R shows the solution. Without taking your eyes off the audience.

STEP 4

Analyze afterwards

Distribution, difficulty, discrimination and response times — per question, permanently archived.

How it differs from cloud services

 LehrPulsTypical web services
Where your data lives on your laptop — even without internet (optionally via your own relay) on third-party servers
Accounts none — neither teachers nor participants at least for teachers
Cost one-time purchase yearly subscription
Formulas and numeric questions LaTeX, tolerance, units rarely or not at all
Item analysis difficulty, discrimination, times — across semesters distribution only

Privacy is not a setting here — it is how the tool is built

There is no provider reading along, because nobody stands in the data path. For name lists you set a deletion period; LehrPuls reminds you and removes the names at the press of a button, while the analyses remain, anonymized. A sample privacy notice ships with the application.
